3 Hours At Walmart Getting Supplies

We just got home after spending the last 3 hours shopping at walmart for supplies. Total spent...$1,509.05. Thank you to Sheree Porter for helping Angie and I fill, load and unload all of these supplies.

Have you ever tried to spend $1,500 at walmart, but mostly clearance merchandise? Let me tell you, it is hard work! We filled up 4 carts overflowing with supplies such as canned food goods, work boots, air fresheners, pre-paid calling cards, games for the kids, school supplies, and toiletries. Assuming 4 carts would be over $1,000 in merchandise (our goal for the night) we checked out. The total only came out to about $786.61 :(

So, after loading everything into the truck, back inside we went for another hour plus shopping excursion. This time we ended up with $722.44 worth of supplies, all of which were specifically asked for by the shelter we are helping in Alabama. They aren't going to believe their eyes when we pull up to the door with EVERYTHING on their wish list. I can't wait until Friday.
